Abstract

This paper takes a quantum heat engine model as research object. The heat engine works with harmonic oscillators. The engine cycle is an irreversible Carnot cycle which has four branches (two of them are isothermal branches and others are irreversible adiabatic branches). The adiabatic process is irreversible and heat leakage is also taken into account. This paper derives power and efficiency and provides numerical illustration. At high temperature limit, the optimal performance is also analysed with numerical illustrations, and influence of the irreversibility on the performance is analysed, too.
