Abstract
The prose rewriting of Robert le Diable, dated toward the end of the fifteenth century and based on the versified source Dit de Robert le Diable, is to this day unpublished: for my PhD thesis, I am preparing the critical edition of this text, whose importance for the transmission of this legend after the Middle Ages is clear. The study of the variants and the collation of prose to verse presented here aim to establish the stemma codicum and, subsequently, the choice of the text for the critical edition of the prose.
