Abstract

Potentiometric sensors based on ion associates of Cefalexin, Cefuroxime, and Cefixime with tetraalkylammonium cations are developed. The sensors ensure the determination of cephalosporin antibiotics in a wide analytical range of 1 × 10−4 (1 × 10−5) to 1 × 10−2 (0.1) M; the values of cmin, p ∼ n × 10−5 (10−6) M. The sensors can be used for the determination of cephalosporins in biological fluids for the adjustment and optimization of treatment and for determining the main substance in pharmaceuticals.
