Abstract

Techniques are established for pH-metric determination of benzaldehyde (BAT), salicylaldehyde (SAT), and p-hydroxybenzaldehyde (PHBT) thiosemicarbazones with mercury(II) in excess and titration of mercury(II) with PHBT in excess. The influence of the presence and position of the hydroxyl group in the molecule of ligand is discussed.
