Abstract
By replacing fossil fuels as an energy source, bioenergy is widely recognized as one means to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In China, the development of bioenergy using forest residues is still in its infancy, nonetheless progress is being made. One of the most critical issues affecting the economics of bioenergy projects is limited information on resource availability and uncertainties around the forest bioenergy production. The purpose of this study is to analyze forest biomass potential and its requirements for bioenergy using based on forest ecological security. And the developing of forest bioenergy was also described for further insight.
