Abstract

ISRO recently launched the EOS-4 SAR satellite which is designed to provide images under all weather conditions for various applications. This paper reports on the generation of the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) from the EOS-4 interferometric pair of Alwar, Rajasthan, India. This is the first study on the feasibility of EOS-4 for SAR Interferometry (InSAR). The study finds that there exists proper coherency between the EOS-4 InSAR pair and the DEM has been generated through SAR interferometric processing algorithms which include Coregistration, Interferogram generation, Baseline estimation, Flattening of Interferogram, Phase unwrapping, Phase to height (DEM) conversion and Geocoding of DEM.
