Abstract
in agricultural pollution. Even moderate reduction, however, could have large effects on agricultural production, prices, producer rents, and other politically sensitive variables. These effects are likely to depend strongly on the agricultural price support policies in the U.S., EC, and other regions. Although some initial efforts have been made (e.g., Abler and Shortle 1992), there is a need for research on linkages between environmental and price support policies for agriculture.
