Abstract

Summary Twenty patients with oral cancer and ten healthy subjects have been evaluated by the leukocyte adherence inhibition assay using encephalitogenic factor as the antigen. Every cancer patient gave a positive reaction whereas every healthy subject remained negative in this study. The results suggest that the leukocyte adherence inhibition assay performed with encephalitogenic factor can be used as an immune diagnostic tool in oral cancer.
