Abstract

The 6.1 Richter Scale earthquake on February 25, 2022 in Pasaman district and West Pasaman district caused landslides around Mount Talamau with an avalanche outcrop of 1,200 hectares, resulting in debris flow in a number of tributaries in rivers of Bt. Kilangan in Malampah subdistrict, Pasaman district. The potential for debris flow can still occur when the rainfall intensity exceeds 50 mm/day with a discharge of 107 m3/sec and a debris volume of 5,000,000 m3 in one of 10 tributaries around Mount Talamau. The estimated total volume is estimated at 24 million m3 currently deposited in the sediment zone of 1,200 hectares of landslide outcrop area.
