Application of various organophosphorus compounds as fungicides and theirstructure-activity relationships have been studied extensively e.g. O,O-bisarylalkyl phosphonates (Roy et al. 1996), diaryl dichloromethyl phosphono-dithioates (Roy and Mukerjee 1975), and alkyl phenyl (dichloromethyl)phosphonates (Dureja et al. 1980).
