From pseudoreceptors to inhibitors: With limited knowledge about a ligand-bound receptor conformation, pseudoreceptor models can be helpful for the identification of novel inhibitors, as demonstrated here for 5-lipoxygenase, a validated target for the treatment of inflammation, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer.
