Abstract

Biogas made of appropriate raw materials in biogas plants is used for the production of electrical and thermal energy in so-called CHP or cogenerative plants. In the biogas production process, different types of substrates with appropriate energy potential are used. The potential biogas yield of appropriate raw materials is expressed in tons of fresh, dry or organic dry mass of the substrate considered. This paper presents the potentials of using different types of substrates for biogas production. A review of the potential yield of biogas are especially given in animal husbandry such as liquid and firm manure, from energy waste of food industry, organic waste industry, utility wastewater of food industry and communal solid organic waste.
