Abstract

Abstract Diiodine reacts at room temperature with activated methylene compounds in the presence of potassium fluoride on alumina and saturated dimers, unsaturated dimers or trimers were formed according to the stoechiometry of the reaction. The reactions were improved by using ultrasound activation.
