Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) and clinical correlates in Chinese methamphetamine patients. We analyzed 481 Chinese methamphetamine patients. The prevalence of PTSD among Chinese methamphetamine patients was 7.90% (38/481), which was higher than in western countries. Binary logistic regression showed that age, smoking, abstinence time, age of onset, and DDQ control dimensions were associated with PTSD. Our results indicated that some demographic and clinical variables were associated with PTSD in Chinese methamphetamine patients, which provided evidence for PTSD comorbidity with methamphetamine.
