Abstract

We present some brief considerations concerning arguments about the existence of God. Drawing on the claims made in Chapter 3, we treat exemplar ontological, cosmological and teleological arguments and an exemplar logical argument from evil. We argue that, in every case, the chosen arguments are unsuccessful. The failure of these arguments tells us nothing about the reasonableness of belief — or absence of belief — in God.
