Abstract

Conclusion to A Research Agenda for Sport Management with chapter summaries and analysis. This book has been focused on the key tasks of governing, leading and managing sport organisations to facilitate social and economic value through the sport experience at all levels in the sport system. It has been delimited to some key areas of organisational studies and has done so recognising the contextual and environmental factors influencing and shaping the theory and practice of sport management. Collectively, the chapters have presented a rich array of research needs relevant to informing trends over the next 10-20 years. To that end, sport management scholars are an important component of the sport eco-system who collectively share enhanced understandings of the theory and practice of sport management.
