Abstract

i l a w a e o a p w 35-year-old man was the unrestrained driver in a ront-impact high-mechanism motor vehicle collision. valuation of the patient disclosed C1–2 lateral mass ractures, a LeFort III fracture, a mandibular coracoid rocess fracture, a left clavicle fracture, seven left-sided ib fractures, a grade I splenic injury, a grade IV liver aceration, and a left acetabular dislocation. Angiograhy, performed to evaluate a mediastinal hematoma (A), howed a 1-cm pseudoaneurysm of the innominate arery origin (B, solid arrow) and occlusion of the thyroervical trunk (B, dashed arrow).
