Abstract

This study aims to conduct reliability and validity study of the Turkish version of the Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale (PSAS), which determines the anxiety of women in the postpartum period. This methodological study included 275 women. The scale had a single factor structure, which had the factor load in the appropriate range (0.30-0.58). The Cronbach's alpha was determined as 0.91, and the item total score correlations ranged between 0.25 and 0.54. The test-retest coefficient was determined as 0.93. The Turkish version of the PSAS was evaluated and it was found that it could be used as a valid and reliable measurement tool in Turkish women.
