ObjectiveTo note the most commonly prescribed steroid regimen postoperatively in orthognathic surgery MethodsA comprehensive literature search of articles on orthognathic surgery from 2010 to 2022. ResultsThe most commonly prescribed corticosteroid was dexamethasone. The most common length of prescription was two days. ConclusionsMore large-scale randomised controlled trials are required to determine the adequate dose and schedule of postoperative corticosteroids in orthognathic surgery.
