Abstract

Materials/Methods: The 17-registry Survival, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database was searched for patients with stage II or III NSCLC diagnosed between 1988 and 2003 and treated with sublobar resections. Only patients coded as receiving PORT or not receiving radiotherapy were included. Patients with prior malignancies were excluded. Patients with survival of less than 4 months were excluded to reduce selection bias favoring PORT. The inclusion criteria identified 958 patients. The median follow-up time was 5.2 years for patients still alive.
