Abstract

Panoramic radiographic findings of postoperative maxillary cysts are presented. According to linuma3 4, the cysts appear mainly as monolocular cystic radiolucencies, on or near the floor of the maxillary sinus in patients who have had an operation on the maxillary sinus 10 to 20 years previously. Etiology of the cystic lesion is not known, but appears to derive from a postoperative residuum of infected sinus mucosa.
