Abstract

Almost every physician devotes some professional time and attention to industrially connected conditions. The University of Michigan Medical Center has developed a comprehensive postgraduate training program in occupational medicine which includes seminars, conferences and short postgraduate courses as well as graduate courses for qualification for examination by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Both for specialty training in occupational medicine and for the educational needs of part-time industrial physicians, the facilities of a large medical center are a great advantage, and the program at the University of Michigan utilizes the knowledge and skills of many different components of the Medical Center and of other schools and departments.
