Abstract

With the rapid advancement of communication technologies, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) are eminently becoming reality. A major component of ITS is the Inter-Vehicle Communication (IVC) technologies, including the recent advancements in Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs). VANETs have a heterogenous architecture, where vehicles act as mobile nodes with on-board communication and computational units, and stationary Road-Side Units (RSUs) are placed along the roads to facilitate internet-based services.
