Abstract

Objectives: To describe perceived life satisfaction for persons incurring severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) and to identify variables influencing life satisfaction. Design: Prospective observational study. Setting: Inpatient (IP) Rehabilitation and discharge residence. Participants: Twenty-five persons >18 years of age unconscious for >28 days consecutively who recovered consciousness within first year of injury. Interventions: Acute and IP rehabilitation medical records, clinical assessments during IP rehabilitation and follow-up interviews.
