Abstract
Objective: To conduct a systematic qualitative synthesis to answer the question: How do clients manage their occupational transitions following an acquired brain injury? Data Sources: Searches of Medline, CINAHL, and PsycInfo were conducted to identify empirical qualitative studies of occupational re-engagement (ie, paid full- or part-time employment, homemaking, parenting, school, volunteering) following acquired brain injury. Inclusion criteria were studies using face-to-face or telephone interviews and focus groups.
