Abstract
Introduction: Infections in maxillofacial plastic surgery are rarely discussed. Beta-lactams, doxyxycline, erythromycin, and chinolones are considered to be very important drugs used in the therapy of many serious bacterial skin and soft tisssue infections. In the last time, the number of isolated strains resistant to most of the mentioned antibiotics rapidly increased. Therefore, the goal of our present investigation was to analyze the bacterial spectrum and resistance pattern in maxillofacial nonodontogenic soft tissue infections.
