Abstract

On 51st Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons: 2006, we reported, in cultured human temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disc cells, the expression of ADAMTS-5 mRNA increased under both normoxia and hypoxia with the addition of IL-β, and the peak was observed after three hours. This time, in immunohistochemistry we intend to report in differences in staining properties of ADAMTS-4 and ADAMTS-5 in TMJ discs of internal derangement (ID) with osteoarthritis (OA).
