Abstract

Objective: To determine how accurately inexperienced interventional physiatrists interpret transforaminal epidural contrast dispersal patterns. Design: Prospective comparative study. Setting: University spine center. Participants: 2 experienced interventional physiatrists with more than 5 years experience, and 3 pain fellows with 6 months of experience. Intervention: Each participant independently interpreted 100 images showing contrast dispersal patterns from cervical and lumbar transforaminal epidural injections performed by another physician.
