Poster 153: Provocation Tests to Detect Intra-Articular Hip Pain

Abstract

Objective: Determine the sensitivity of 4 provocation maneuvers (FABER, Stinchfield, Scour, and Internal Rotation [IR] of hip Over Pressure) in predicting presence of intra-articular hip pathology. Presence of pathology is confirmed with diagnostic intra-articular hip injection under fluorscopic guidance. We provide preliminary results on 13 patients. Design: Prospective diagnostic clinical study. Setting: Musculoskeletal clinic at university center. Participants: 13 subjects undergoing intra-articular hip injection.
