Abstract

Objective: To compare use of over-the-counter and prescription sleep medications in a community sample of people with multiple sclerosis (MS). To identify risk factors associated with sleep problems in the MS sample. Design: Survey study. Setting: Community-based sample in Seattle, Washington. Participants: Subjects with MS (N=473) from a longitudinal self-report survey. Interventions: Participants were asked to self-report on use of over-the-counter and prescription sleep medications. Main Outcome Measures: Participants completed the MOS Sleep scale and other common symptom measures.
