Abstract

Objective: Health care reform legislation mandates public reporting of quality information from rehabilitation hospitals after 2014. Several sources already report quality information, including hospital websites and brochures and newsmagazines like US News & World Report. We surveyed potential consumers of rehabilitation services to measure their health literacy and levels of trust in various sources of quality information. Design: Cross-sectional survey. Setting: Community and senior centers. Participants: Convenience sample of 139 individuals aged 40 and older.
