Abstract

Background While it has been used clinically in Europe since the early 2000, molecular allergology remains relatively unknown to a number of clinicians involved in the field of allergy and this at a time when the understanding of allergy at the level of proteins allows for novel diagnostic and therapeutic avenues. Molecular allergy offers clinicians a better understanding of the allergy dynamics of certain patients, particularly in some situations of food allergy and in multi-allergy contexts.
