Abstract

Prolonged donor organ ischemic time has been associated with worse post-heart transplant outcomes. However, ischemic time has at least 2 components: organ transportation and time attributable to technical and institutional factors at the donor and recipient hospitals. Our aim is to investigate relative impact of these two components on post-transplant mortality.
