Abstract
Prostatectomy, whether performed for obstructive voiding or prostatic malignancy, is a common procedure performed by urologists. Postoperative voiding complaints are not uncommon and generally can be categorized into four main entities: intrinsic sphincter deficiency, outlet obstruction, detrusor overactivity, or detrusor hypocontractility. This review discusses the prevalence of these disorders, risk factors for their development, and recommended evaluation.
