Abstract

Glaucoma drainage implants (GDI) are sometimes used in the treatment of refractory glaucoma associated with keratoplasty. An important complication of GDI is the exposure of the drainage tube. Two patients presented after penetrating keratoplasty and Ahmed glaucoma valve, with exposure of the GDI tube following prolonged topical steroid usage. This report addresses the risk factors and early signs of tube exposure that guide its prevention and management.
