Abstract

Unlike many academic publications, which start with an introduction from the editors setting out their argument, process, themes, and implications, Post-Craft unfolds more like an album, where the compilation is formed with a poetic and aesthetic sense. Without the usual guideposts, the reader is left to make their own connections and conclusions between the entries, an experience that is both welcome, engaging, and at times disorienting. Indeed, the Sternberg Press publication series is aptly titled ‘EP,’ short for ‘extended play,’ a term used in the music industry to indicate a recording that is longer than a single track, but shorter than a full album.
