Possible Origin of the "Anomalous" Interference Terms inPt192,194

Abstract

It is noted that, if ${\ensuremath{\beta}}_{4}$ deformations are included in the rigid asymmetric-rotor model of Davydov and Filippov, previously measured values of ${{M}_{02}}^{2}$, ${{M}_{{02}^{\ensuremath{'}}}}^{2}$, ${{M}_{{22}^{\ensuremath{'}}}}^{2}$, ${{M}_{22}}^{2}$, and ${{M}_{04}}^{4} [{{M}_{\mathrm{rs}}}^{\ensuremath{\lambda}}={i}^{\ensuremath{\lambda}}〈s\ensuremath{\parallel}M(E\ensuremath{\lambda})\ensuremath{\parallel}\mathcal{r}〉]$, including their relative signs, may be simultaneously predicted for $^{194}\mathrm{Pt}$.
