Abstract
It has been demonstrated that in the combustion of composite solid propellants the instantaneous mass burning rate can depend on variations in the velocity of cross-flow of gases even if in the steady-state regime the combustion is insentitive to cross-flow velocity. A method has been proposed for studying the nonsteady-state erosion combustion in experiments with composite systems.
