Abstract

Brucellosis is a bacterial disease affecting humans and domestic animals. The pathogenic capacity of Brucella depends on its stealth strategy and ability to replicate within host cells and cause long-lasting infections. The growth of brucellosis in the Russian Federation necessitates the search for new diagnostic approaches and algorithms that allow obtaining valid results in a short time, reducing the risk of chronicity of this pathology. Presently, the diagnosis of brucellosis, due to its pronounced polymorphism, is impossible without objective laboratory confirmation. Search for laboratory predictors is a current trend in modern laboratory medicine.
