Abstract

An analysis is made of gasdynamic processes in an electrically pumped gasdynamic CO2 laser. It is shown that, in principle, it is possible to use the energy of shock waves resulting from pulsed evolution of energy in a discharged gap to drive a gas mixture along a closed duct. This is done by placing a nonreturn valve at the entry to the discharge chamber and an acoustic resonator of a certain length at the exit.
