Abstract
The first results of the initial stage of studying the possibility of using the pellet oxide fuel with the addition of metallic uranium nanopowder in VVER reactors are reported. Comparison with other types of ATF fuel is performed. The considered cermet fuel has obvious advantages over the oxide and mononitride fuels. Some parameters of cermet fuel also make it preferable over silicide fuel.
