Abstract

The possibilities of combining warm- with cold-extrusion processes are discussed and illustrated by means of three examples. In particular, the aim is to show why combination of these processes has proven - both technically and economically - to be a good solution. Current existing problem areas of this technology are also discussed. These problem areas must first be mastered before implementing the combination process.
