Abstract

Human papillomavirus (HPV) and the ways to realize the pathological conditions of the female reproductive system in the presence of HPV remain the subject of scientific study. The aim of the work is to increase the effectiveness of the prevention of neoplastic processes of the female reproductive system by monitoring the processes of HPV elimination.Materials and methods. A study was conducted on 150 patients aged 25–36 years who had positive results of a HPV study. Analyzed data from the examination of patients and the course of gynecological diseases during the year. Studies were performed at the beginning of the study, after 6 months and 12 months. There are 3 groups: I group - patients with positive results of HPV and the presence of hyperplastic processes of the endometrium, cervix, ovarian neoplasias, who received only pathogenetic therapy; group II - patients with positive results of HPV and the presence of hyperplastic processes of the endometrium, cervix, ovarian neoplasias, who, together with pathogenetic therapy, received courses of immunomodulatory and oncoprotective therapy. Group III - patients with positive results of HPV and no clinical signs of gynecological pathology. The levels of serum interferon (IFN-α) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), the level of sex hormones, the presence of HPV, and viral load were determined.Results. In patients of groups I and II, in contrast to group III, there was a significant decrease in the levels of IFN-α and TNF-α, progesterone, hyperestrogenism. In patients of group II, after conducting courses of immunomodulatory therapy, elimination of most types of HPV and reduction of viral load was stated. The cases of HPV self-elimination among patients of group III were found.Conclusion. The persistence of HPV occurs in conditions of reduced levels of IFN-α and TNF-α, progesterone and relative hyperestrogenism, may be associated with various types of gynecological diseases. The use of immunomodulatory therapy contributes to the elimination of viral infection and can be used for the eradication of HPV and the prevention of neoplastic processes. Along with the drug, there is an independent elimination of certain types of HPV.
