Abstract

The paper describes the possibility of using acupressure on established points of stepped-up skin sensibility (puncta maxima - PM) for the purpose of diagnosing certain diseases of internal organs or the state of the bone-joint system in carnivora. It presents the theoretical basis of acupressure diagnostics on the grounds of the existence of pathways for conducting pain and the familiar principle of viscero-cutaneous reflexes. It describes the technique of diagnosis using acupressure. Seven graphic pictures present the localization of optimal PM for acupressure diagnostics.
