Abstract

Actions aimed at sustainable rural development must be strategically planned and implemented at the local and regional level, taking into account the particularities of the location in conjunction with the various social actors. In this sense, the present study aimed to identify possibilities for the sustainable use of native Cerrado species, by family farming in the municipality of Iporá-GO. To this end, a bibliographic survey was carried out and the Delphi method was adopted for data collection. The results indicate that agroforestry or silvopastoral systems present themselves as an attractive alternative for family producers, especially associated with the integration of species: pequi (Caryocar brasiliense), cashew (Anacardium occidentale) and palm trees such as gueroba (Syagrus oleracea), which is consistent with income generation and environmental preservation.
