Abstract

The reported method of using phase conjugation to correct distortions induced by projection optics was realized experimentally. In particular, the method was used on a low-quality 50-cm-diameter objective mirror to form laser radiation with a near diffraction-limited beam divergence of 2.4 × 10(-6) rad. The method could be applied to high-resolution imaging of objects in coherent light.
