Abstract

The main reason for the recent interest in the Preisach model is the endeavour to stimulate the magnetization processes in various magnetic materials, or, in other words, to identify the model which gives the best correlation between computed and experimentally observed results. In this paper the possibilities and limits of the scalar Preisach model are summarized. A few partial problems connected with the estimation of the Preisach matrix in the moving model, the inconsistency in modeling of accomodation and with the correct representation of reversible processes are discussed and illustrated by relating results of computer experiments.
