Abstract

This study discusses an action developed by the Outreach Project Lambedores de Cultura, which aims to promote interaction with and in diversity and to establish heterogeneous networks, exploring the possibilities of the territory of the cities where the project takes place. The project is based on the guiding principles of Community Centers and Cooperative, which see in art and culture possibilities of meaningful interactions between people. The article refers to a Photographic Exploration Workshop held in Rio Claro / SP. The experiment used photography as a means to explore and occupy different city spaces, thus seeking to foster and increase heterogeneous interaction networks. The weekly workshops were opened to the community and included the participation of segments of the population segregated from common city life, due to several social markers. The workshops promoted new spaces for socialization as well as the appropriation of public spaces.
