Abstract
Calculations have been made of the p-wave contributions to the elastic scattering and positronium formation cross sections for positron-hydrogen scattering in the ore gap, 6.8-10.2 eV. The Kohn and inverse Kohn variational methods were used with trial functions containing as many as 84 short-range correlation terms of each symmetry, and there is considerable evidence that the most accurate of the results obtained are close to being fully converged.
