Abstract
The positronium yield has been measured in mixtures of electron acceptors (inhibitors and anti-inhibitors of positronium formation) diluted with a neutral solvent. The data obtained confirm the idea, based on the spur reaction model of positronium formation, that the charge transfer reaction between electron acceptors in the positron spur is of importance for positronium formation.
